Company welcomes new VP, advisor and board member

Austin, Texas – September 8, 2016 – Datical, the leading provider of agile database automation solutions, is carrying momentum forward from a significant increase in subscription revenueover the first half of 2016 by welcoming a new strategic advisor and expanding its management team and board.

Joining the company’s leadership team as Vice President of Business Development is Matt Fox. Fox was most recently VP and general manager of education solutions at Avnet, and also brings prior experience as senior director of business development for Ascendant Technology, an IBM reseller acquired by Avnet in 2012.

Jamie Erbes, currently Google Cloud Platform’s director of customer engagement, will assist Datical’s leadership team as a strategic advisor. Prior to Google, Erbes held roles as VP of product management and marketing at VCE and as CTO of HP Software. She will lean on her considerable experience developing cloud deployment strategies as Datical extends its solutions across new data and cloud platforms.

“We’re on a mission to help Datical customers undertake digital transformations more effectively,” said Erbes. “Understanding the importance of managing the database in application delivery is a critical competitive advantage. Whether data is on premise or in the cloud, Datical increases the velocity, security and efficiency of database changes.”

Finally, Datical added a new independent board member in Rick Jackson, currently CMO at Qlik, a business intelligence solution provider. Jackson was previously CMO at Rackspace and VMware. As part of the Datical board, Jackson brings extensive experience in rapidly growing enterprise software companies, and his global marketing expertise will help Datical scale operations throughout this period of growth and beyond.

“Datical’s rapid growth over the past three years proves the company’s ability to solve a critical piece of the continuous software delivery puzzle: automating database deployments,” Jackson said. “I’m excited to join the team and help Datical continue delivering crucial solutions and expanding its market presence.”

“Our growth is exciting, but it’s just a natural outcome of enabling our customers to solve problems in the database and application delivery that were previously insurmountable,” said Derek Hutson, CEO of Datical. “A key to our success is our team. It’s second to none. Adding Matt, Jamie and Rick enables us to continue identifying, solving and responding to customer needs in a way that helps build their businesses, then ours.”
